🔭 Calling all astronomy enthusiasts and photography aficionados! The Cleburne Camera Club is thrilled to announce our upcoming field trip to the prestigious Thomsen Observatory in Keene, TX. Get ready for a mesmerizing journey through the cosmos as we explore the wonders of the universe together!
🌟 Nestled in the picturesque town of Keene, Thomsen Observatory offers state-of-the-art telescopes and a captivating setting for stargazing and astrophotography. With minimal light pollution, we’ll witness the beauty of distant galaxies, sparkling star clusters, and perhaps even catch a glimpse of breathtaking planets.
📸 With special guest speaker, Brad Riza!
Brad is a true Cleburne native, hailing from a renowned metal fabrication company, Riza Manufacturing Co., right here on South Main. 🏭
His journey led him to become a military chaplain in the Air Force, where he bravely served and even earned a Purple Heart in Vietnamese Nam. With an impressive 83 parachute jumps under his belt, his military experiences are nothing short of awe-inspiring. 🎖️✈️
Brad’s adventures didn’t end there. He has captivating stories about his time as a Star Guide for Badlands National Park and other incredible locations. You might even recognize him from the movie “Nomad Land,” where he shines as a star guide. 🌟🎥
We’re thrilled to have Brad’s expertise and enthusiasm assisting us, despite him residing in Benbrook. His passion for volunteering at the Thomsen is truly commendable. ❤️
