Welcome to the JN Long Cultural Arts Center’s premier event, the People’s Choice Show & Sale! We cordially invite you to participate in this esteemed exhibition by submitting your artwork and joining in the voting process to determine the community’s favorites. It’s an opportunity not only to showcase your talent but also to vie for coveted ribbons and cash prizes!
ELIGIBILITY:
This competition is open to all artists. Entries must consist of original works created within the last 5 years. We welcome all forms of media, whether 2D or 3D, including but not limited to drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and more. Artwork should not have been previously entered or placed in any prior JNL CAC sponsored competitions. Each artist may submit up to six (6) pieces, though acceptance is subject to the volume of submissions. Collage materials must be artist-created, and all submissions must adhere to standards of decency and appropriateness.
HOW TO ENTER:
Entries are due between March 12th and March 23rd. The submission fee is $15 for the first entry and $5 for each piece after that. Artists must sign an ARTIST RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY & LOAN AGREEMENT for each artwork submitted. Deliver your works to 425 Granbury St., Cleburne, TX 76033, during office hours: Tuesday – Friday / 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Artworks may be offered for sale, with prices reflecting current market value. JNL CAC retains a 20% commission on any sales.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Submitted works must not exceed 48” in any direction or 30 lbs in weight unless pre-approved. All entries must be framed or neatly presented and equipped with heavy-gauge wire for hanging. Sawtooth hangers are not permitted. 3D works must not exceed 60 lbs or 60” in any direction.

- Intake: March 12th – March 23rd (During Office Hours)
- Show Duration: Tue, Apr 2, 2024 – Sat, May 4, 2024
- Reception: May 4 at 3:00 PM (Awards presented at 3:30 PM)
- Art Pickup: May 7 – May 21 (Artwork not picked up by May 21 will be considered a donation)
